    We are new to the area and have gone in a few times this season and every time she is there, my happy camping vibe is turned to anger. Getting ice-cream in cottage country should come with a smile, not a nasty attitude. We will drive the extra 5 minutes to the store closer to killbear in the future

    The Detour store is my first stop because I always know they have what I need in stock without me driving the 35 minutes both ways to Parry sound. The friendly staff are extremely knowledgeable of the area and outdoor/ nature questions you may have.

    They have a bit of fresh produce as well as dairy products that are always Top Notch quality.

    I love The Detour store I have never had a poor experience. My children love to come here as they have a bunch of toys and games as well as any camping fishing hiking kayaking boating supplies you may need. As well as they have quite a bit of over the counter medicines there's nothing like camping and waking up to your youngster saying I have an earache a quick trip to the detour store has ear drops and Advil to do the trick.

    The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great selection of camping gear and at better prices than the other store down the street. Ice cream was delicious. Defiantly stop by and see what's in store.

    The staff is friendly and they have the best selection of camping gear, souvioners and ice cream for really reasonable prices. I very strongly recommend visiting this store at least once if you are camping or even remotely near it!!!

    The store has Kawartha ice cream. What more do I need to say? The Detour Store also had a very good selection of outdoor gears and lots of utilities for campers!
